Supporters Engage with Youth Through Networking Event
“Connect Over Coffee was an excellent way to kick off a Friday morning,” said Opus Bank’s Community Impact Manager Jamie Hauer. “Students were well prepped and were a delight to meet. I look forward to the next round,” echoed Tom Honan, board chair.
Hauer and Honan joined other Hope Builders’ supporters like Brookfield Residential, Disneyland, and St. Joseph Heritage to launch this new volunteer activity to help youth practice their networking skills.
“I now have the confidence to walk into a room where I don’t know anyone and put my best foot forward!” said healthcare trainee Genesis.
This is just one of the many ways Hope Builders is enhancing its skills training to make 2017 a year of impact. Contact Sami Mouth at (714) 543–5105 ext. 124 or smouth@tsjhopebuilders.org to learn how you can volunteer and impact the lives of Hope Builders’ youth.
