2025 Winter Advancement Ceremony Celebrates Milestones Along Student Journey

Hope Builders’ Winter Advancement Ceremony brought together young adults from Hope Builders’ construction and healthcare training verticals to celebrate their significant milestones on the pathway to prosperity. 

The event highlighted the empowering impact of a strong community—comprised of trainees, instructors, families, and supporters—to remove roadblocks and build bright futures. Among the highlights were speeches from selected trainees, including Jamie, who shared her personal journey, challenges, and triumphs. At 20 years old, Jamie left her job as a cashier when she became a mother. She wanted to continue working and supporting her family, but the low pay and unsteady hours were not sustainable while also trying to raise a young child. At Hope Builders, she was able to pursue a healthcare career that gave her both a stable income and a sense of purpose. She has now been working as a medical assistant at the same clinic for more than six months, and is proud of supporting her family while making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. 

The ceremony recognized individuals who in the past 6 months, through hard work and dedication, completed at least one of the final three stages of the Student Journey, pictured below. 

Individuals who received a Training certificate have successfully completed the foundational training in construction, medical assisting, or child development. Graduates from this group have demonstrated proficiency in the hard skills and soft skills needed to enter the workforce. 

• 136 young adults received training completion certificates. 

The next stage, Career Builder, recognizes those who have secured their first job in their chosen career pathway. These graduates have transitioned from training to applying their skills in real-world settings, taking a crucial step toward building lasting careers.  

• 114 young adults received Career Builder certificates. 

Finally, the Hope Builder stage celebrates individuals who have maintained steady employment in their career pathway for six months or more. These graduates exemplify perseverance and stability, showing the long-term impact Hope Builders has in fostering sustainable career success.  

• 81 young adults received certificates for becoming a Hope Builder. 

Congratulations to all of the Hope Builders graduates for their accomplishments along each stage of the Student Journey. This would not have been possible without the support of the entire Hope Builders community, thank you for unlocking greatness in these young adults.
