JPMorganChase Invests in Workforce Pathways, Empowering Orange County Young Adults
Hope Builders is grateful for the continued partnership with JPMorganChase, whose investment over the last 15 years helps young adults in Orange County build pathways to meaningful, sustainable careers. Through a recently awarded two-year grant, JPMorganChase is backing Hope Builders’ comprehensive workforce program, which combines technical instruction, life skills training, mentorship, and critical wraparound services like stipends, childcare, and transportation. This support ensures trainees have the resources they need to succeed.
As Sarah Bowles Carter, Vice President, Global Philanthropy at JPMorganChase, shared:
“A prosperous and inclusive job market is the foundation of a strong economy. We are proud to partner with Hope Builders to help prepare more young people in Orange County with the skills and experiences needed to secure quality jobs.”
The partnership goes beyond financial investment. JPMorganChase employees are actively involved, serving on Hope Builders’ board of directors and volunteering their time to conduct mock interviews that help trainees prepare for the workforce.
The impact of this collaboration is clear in stories like Alexandra’s. A single mother of two, Alexandra was working part-time as a house cleaner and struggling to make ends meet. Through Hope Builders’ Child Development Careers Program, she received hands-on training in applied behavioral analysis, preparing her for a career working with children with disabilities. She also gained valuable employment readiness skills, including interview preparation and building confidence for the workplace. Today, Alexandra is on a new career path and was recently matched by HBCC, Hope Builders’ social enterprise staffing agency, to a job at United Behavior Consultants. She credits the opportunities made possible through this partnership to supporters like JPMorganChase, sharing, “Thank you for the help you give, and the opportunities you make available.”
JPMorganChase’s ongoing support is creating transformational change for young adults and strengthening the local economy, one career at a time.
