EverBank Opens Doors to Opportunity
Hope Builders is grateful for our relationship with EverBank and their investment in helping young adults prepare for meaningful careers. Through both financial support and employee engagement, EverBank is expanding opportunities for young adults while strengthening our local workforce.
EverBank has chosen Hope Builders as a national volunteer affiliate, leveraging our virtual mock interview program to engage employees from across the country. Additionally, they have collaborated with our Child Development Careers Program to deliver EverBank University, a financial literacy training. Upon completion of the training, each trainee receives a certificate recognizing their achievements in developing financial literacy, practicing interviewing, and strengthening their professional readiness.
EverBank’s support has been transformative for trainees like Yamilith. At 23 years old, Yamilith was working limited hours in food service while trying to support her young son. She wanted a stable career but struggled to find work even in food service or retail. Through Hope Builders’ Child Development Careers program, she gained the skills needed to enter the behavioral health field. She also participated in EverBank University, where she gained the financial knowledge and confidence needed to successfully launch herself on a pathway to prosperity.
After completing training, HBCC, Hope Builders’ social enterprise staffing agency, placed Yamilith in the workforce as a behavioral technician earning $22 per hour. “If it weren’t for this life-changing opportunity, I would likely still be only dreaming of what my future could be. I will always carry this gratitude with me.”
Thank you, EverBank, for empowering young adults like Yamilith with the mentorship, life skills and job skills training to launch careers.
