Tod and Linda White: Creating Career Pathways for Young Adults

Hope Builders is grateful to Tod and Linda White for more than 10 years of partnership helping young adults build meaningful careers.  As longtime supporters, Tod and Linda value Hope Builders’ ability to make meaningful impact in the lives of an underserved population. They also recognize how Hope Builders’ commitment to strong stewardship, clear goals, and lasting partnerships with employers is leveraged into lasting impact. “Overall, we feel Hope Builders is doing an important job and doing it well, so we’re happy to be helping,” Tod shared.

Tod and Linda’s generosity transforms futures for trainees like Brittney. At 20 years old, Brittney had already given up on her dream of a healthcare career when financial challenges forced her to drop out of college after just one semester. She took a retail job to make ends meet but struggled to see a path toward the career she wanted.

Everything changed when Brittney enrolled in Hope Builders’ Clinical Medical Assisting training program, where she gained the skills, confidence, and professional support to reenter the healthcare field. After completing training, Hope Builders’ social enterprise staffing agency, HBCC, connected her with employment earning $22 per hour, with opportunities for continued career advancement. “Thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be where I am today,” Brittney says.

Hope Builders is grateful to Tod and Linda for helping create opportunities for young adults, like Brittney, to build stable careers and brighter futures.
