Southland Industries Creates Career Pathways

Hope Builders is proud to recognize Southland Industries for their commitment to helping young adults build brighter futures. Their partnership helps trainees, like Osvaldo, gain the skills and confidence they need to take their first steps towards lasting careers.

Before Hope Builders, Osvaldo was working in fast food but struggled to get enough hours to earn a steady, full-time income. He began looking into trade schools as a way to build a career, but the cost made training out of reach.

He was excited to learn about Hope Builders, where he could gain hands-on construction training  while strengthening the workplace skills needed to succeed—all at no cost to him. He’s since successfully entered the workforce with both technical knowledge and a strong foundation for success.

Today, Osvaldo works   full time at American Vision Windows, where he earns $20 an hour.

He shares, “Opportunities like this are not always easy to find, and I believe they can make a positive impact on individuals, families, and communities. Thank you for helping students like me take the first steps toward a brighter future.”
