The Palmer Family Foundation Builds Pathways to Lasting Change

Hope Builders deeply values the longtime partnership of The Palmer Family Foundation. As donors and advisors, Greg and Sally Palmer have helped shape opportunities for young adults for the past 25 years, including by providing staffing industry expertise that helped establish our own social enterprise staffing agency, HBCC. That impact can be seen in the journey of Isabel, a graduate of Hope Builders’ Child Development Careers Program. Before coming to Hope Builders, Isabel was helping support her single mother and siblings through part-time jobs in food service.

Through Hope Builders, Isabel gained the training and preparation she needed to pursue her dream of building a career working with children with autism spectrum disorder. Through HBCC, Isabel was connected with employment at United Behavior Consultants, where she now earns $22 an hour as a Behavior Technician.

“I am so grateful I had the opportunity to be in this program, which is helping me accomplish my goals, achieve my dream career, and become a good role model for my siblings,” Isabel shares.

Isabel’s journey demonstrates the reach of the Hope Builders Effect. Her success creates a new example of what is possible for her siblings, while also bringing a dedicated professional into a field where families need knowledgeable and compassionate support. One opportunity can strengthen a family while also helping meet an important need in the community.
