Banc of California Opens Doors to Lasting Careers

Banc of California

For more than a decade, Banc of California has helped create opportunities for young adults through its support of Hope Builders. The bank’s ongoing investment empowers individuals to launch meaningful careers, achieve financial stability, and build brighter futures.

In addition to Banc of California’s generous financial support, its team members volunteer as mock interviewers, equipping trainees with the confidence and professional skills needed to succeed in the hiring process. Their leadership on our Board of Directors also helps shape the organization’s vision and expand its impact.

Olivia Lindsay, EVP, Chief Risk Officer and Hope Builders Board Member shares, “One of the most rewarding parts of serving Hope Builders is seeing the potential in young people as they are transformed with confidence, purpose, and lasting careers. At Banc of California, we believe our role extends beyond banking. We are invested in strengthening the communities we serve and creating opportunities for people to thrive. A single opportunity can change the trajectory of a life, a family, and ultimately a community. We are proud to support Hope Builders in opening doors, inspiring possibility, and helping build a stronger future for Orange County.”

Banc of California’s support helps make stories like Jacqueline’s possible. Growing up in a low-income family, Jacqueline didn’t see a clear path after high school. While working a part-time job, she struggled to imagine what came next. At Hope Builders, she gained the technical training and professional skills needed to pursue a career as a medical assistant. Through HBCC, she was connected to employment earning $22 an hour and is now on a path toward long-term career growth.

Today, Jacqueline is focused on what’s next. “My goal is to gain as much experience as possible,” she says. Looking back on her journey, she reflects, “I truly don’t know where I’d be if I weren’t a part of this program, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity.”

Thank you, Banc of California, for helping young adults like Jacqueline build pathways to prosperity. Together, we are creating lasting change for Orange County’s future workforce.
