Bridget first visited Hope Builders at the request of a friend who was in the construction industry shortly after its founding in 1995. Bridget recalls, “I remember going to Hope Builders’ Broadway headquarters and visiting the Benchmakers’ workshop. It was so inspiring to see the young adults showing me how they were making the beautiful benches. They had such pride in their newfound skills that I knew I had to get involved!”

The Benchmakers was the beginning and paved the way for today’s construction training program. Hope Builders’ innovative spirit continues to inspire Bridget’s involvement. Nearly 27 years later, Bridget continues to share her time, talents and treasure with Hope Builders.  She is inspired watching the young men and women come to the workforce training program, hearing how much they are changing and seeking an opportunity to better their home life and launch their careers. We are so grateful for Bridget’s years of support as a donor, past chairwoman of our Light Up A Life gala and Hope Builders’ champion – encouraging countless friends, family and community members to get involved.

“It’s a miracle to watch a young person who is weighed down by life’s challenges, grow, find their place, and get a living wage job to support themselves.  Hope Builders gives the trainees a guiding hand, a second chance, an environment of safety and Hope. You can’t put a price on that,” Bridget shares. “I remember starting out in my early career and wish I had the guidance that Hope Builders provides to navigate the uncertainty in that time.”

Hope Builders is grateful to Bridget for her dedication to Hope Builders and the young adults in our community. It’s an honor to recognize Bridget as a Platinum Sponsor of 10 Days for Launching Careers.
