Success Begins with Commitment: The Hope Builders’ Pledge

At Hope Builders, we recognize that a young person cannot achieve success in the workforce without making a personal commitment to change. Our team provides the guidance, resources, and support as outlined on Hope Builders’ student journey. Over 30 years, we have learned that unless a young person is ready to show up and work hard, long-term prosperity will remain out of reach. To emphasize this, trainees are asked to take a pledge when starting our training programs. They commit to taking initiative, staying focused, and pushing through challenges along the way. By embracing this pledge, trainees take ownership of their own growth and take the first steps towards self-reliance, laying the foundation for a brighter future.

My Path to Success Starts Here

Hope Builders is a steppingstone to a successful career in construction, medical assisting, or child development. Here, I will build the skills and habits needed to launch my career.  I will receive support, but to succeed, I must first commit.  If I do not uphold these promises, I may be removed from the program.

I am ready to invest in myself.

I Commit to:

✅ Show Up & Stay Accountable – I will be present, on time, and carry myself with professionalism every day. I will keep a positive attitude, follow through on tasks, and remain drug-free. For my future I will show up.

I Commit to:

✅ Take Initiative – I will ask questions, seek feedback, and step up without being asked. I’ll show my drive and passion to learn and grow, pushing myself every day.

I Commit to:

✅ Work Hard & Stay Focused – I will manage my time wisely, meet deadlines, and ensure every task I complete is my best work. I won’t let distractions or procrastination hold me back.

I Commit to:

✅ Push Through Challenges – Setbacks happen, but I refuse to let them define me. I will learn from mistakes, stay adaptable, and remain determined to launch my career.

✅ Be a Team Player – I will support my teammates, communicate openly, and fully participate. Together, we achieve more.

✅ Perfect Attendance – My presence is a promise. I will be reliable and consistent, understanding that every day matters.

✅ Plan for Childcare & Transportation – I have reliable arrangements to always be present and on time. No excuse will ever stand in the way of my success.
