The Future is Working

Hope Builders is proud to announce that, in collaboration with 17 other organizations, the Orange County Community Foundation’s March 21^st “The Future is Working” Giving Day raised over $415,000 to develop a stronger workforce for Orange County.

We are grateful to those who gave in support of Hope Builders, exceeding our goal to raise nearly $18,000 to move disadvantaged young adults, like Liset, from poverty to prosperity by preparing and connecting them to jobs with career pathways.

Liset joined Hope Builders eager for the opportunity to launch her healthcare career. After graduating high school, she began working two jobs alongside her single mom to help support her four younger siblings.

When she heard about Hope Builders from a friend she couldn’t wait to apply. “I never thought I was going to get the chance to continue my education,” Liset shares.

At 25, Liset is receiving the mentorship, life skills and job skills training needed to launch her career as a Medical Assistant.

“Thank you, you have changed my life for the better and will open so many doors to my future. This has only brought me closer to my future goals and the life I want for myself and my family.”
