Walt Disney Imagineering: Building a Stronger Community

Hope Builders proudly recognizes Walt Disney Imagineering for their partnership and investment in workforce development. Their steadfast commitment has helped more than 200 young adults each year gain the technical skills and professional readiness to meet the needs of local employers.

Walt Disney Imagineering has strengthened Hope Builders through board participation and generous financial contributions. They have also introduced our social-enterprise staffing agency, HBCC, as a hiring source to their subcontractors, increasing the job opportunities available for graduates entering the construction industry. Because of their leadership, Hope Builders continues to equip young people, like David, with the tools to build lasting careers and stronger communities.

At 24, David was working graveyard shifts to support his young family. The hours left him exhausted and struggling with the reality of barely seeing his child, with no opportunity for advancement. He knew he needed a change but wasn’t sure where to start.

Joining Hope Builders’ Construction Training Program gave David a new sense of purpose. He discovered a passion for learning hands-on skills. For the first time, he felt confident in his abilities and equipped with the tools to move forward.

Today, David works in flooring. He’s able to spend time with his son, while building a pathway to a more prosperous future. “I am grateful for my second chance,” he says. “Thank you for giving me hope and direction.”
