Employer Highlight: Pan-Pacific Mechanical
For over a decade, Pan-Pacific Mechanical has supported Hope Builders’ construction training program at its annual Builders’ Luncheon at the request of McCarthy Building Companies and Clark Construction.
In 2021, Disneyland contracted Pan-Pacific for a project and reconnected Pan-Pacific to Hope Builders Career Connections (HBCC)—the agency’s staffing agency—as a solution to their workforce needs. Pan-Pacific has since interviewed and hired a total of five graduates of the construction training program as pre-apprentices—frequently citing the knowledge and passion applicants display during the screening process.
In October, Ismael joined his Hope Builders predecessors– Carlos, Alex, Marco and Pedro—as a pre-apprentice at Pan-Pacific after proving his reliability, accountability and initiative over the previous 12 weeks of training.
Since then, HBCC team members continue to provide regular check-ins to both Pan-Pacific and its graduates to ensure continued success. During a recent check-in with George Clark, Construction Manager at Pan-Pacific, he shared the exciting news that Ismael, Carlos and Alex are being promoted to first level apprentices earning over $22/hour.
George remarked, “our team selected Ismael, Carlos and Alex for this opportunity because they prove their work ethic every day. They show up on time and do a great job in the field every day. We’re excited to support their continued career growth.” George encourages all interested employers to contact HBCC to learn more.
Hope Builders and HBCC are grateful to the entire team at Pan-Pacific Mechanical for providing life changing career opportunities to its young adults.
