Brookfield Residential
Hope Builders is proud to recognize its longtime friend, generous supporter and 2017 Hope Builders’ Best of Friends Award recipient, Brookfield Residential, as a Platinum sponsor of 10 Days for Launching Careers.
Brookfield Residential’s partnership with Hope Builders is rooted in the shared commitment to enriching the lives of people in our community. “We have a responsibility to the community. Not only to those we build, but also to those in which our employees live. All residents of Orange County deserve to thrive, and we’re proud to support Hope Builders’ mission to move disadvantaged young adults from poverty to prosperity,” says Adrian Foley, CEO, Brookfield Properties development group.
In addition to their generous financial support, since 2016 Adrian Foley, CEO, Brookfield Residential and John O’Brien, VP, Development, Brookfield Residential serve as innovative thought partners for the organization. Foley and O’Brien joined Greg Palmer, CEO of Supplemental Health Care, to co-found Hope Builders’ 100—a brain trust of Orange County executives working to promote and scale viable solutions for young people stuck in poverty and looking for an opportunity to change their life trajectories.
The strategic guidance from Foley and O’Brien has been invaluable to Hope Builders as it continues to evolve, now operating its own staffing agency—Hope Builders Career Connections (HBCC)—as a hiring source for local employers seeking reliable, motivated and skilled workers.
Hope Builders is grateful to Brookfield Residential for their support in ensuring Orange County young adults are provided the mentorship, life skills training and hard skills training needed to launch their careers. As a Platinum level sponsorship of 10 Days for Launching Careers members of the Brookfield team have also reflected on their own early careers and graciously shared their “first day of work stories.”
